But for the sense of salvation from plight.

Countless years bound,
To an eldritch compound.
The rejects from the ward above,
Dwelling in the corridors of Cain.

Intrusive thoughts in a mind under duress.
Loathesome reflection stares back in a hospice of glass.
A cretin scorned in a prison of flesh.
Confined in the lower depths of a wretched crèche.

Manifestations of insufferable forms.
Creations that gather in innumerable swarms.
Bereft of love, a tortured existence,
Embraced only by the arms of the "omniscient."

Endlessly suppressing a compendium of needs.
A dichotomy of what was once and what will ever be.
Question not of negligence or what you think they see,
But of the temporary fervor found from the refuge that you seek.
